Donald Fleck and I co-lead days of mindfulness and ongoing meditation workshops. Our daylong retreats are an opportunity to let go of everyday concerns and fully immerse yourself in the present. When you set aside this time for yourself, you set the stage for deeper levels of relaxation, awareness, and insight.
More on the day's focus:
It is common to feel that we are separate from others or that our concerns and suffering are strictly our own. But, as recent times have shown us, our health, wealth, happiness, and even our very lives, depend on the thoughts and actions of others. As one zen master puts it, "Happiness is not an individual matter."
Through meditation and other practices, we will reflect on the many ways that we and the world are connected. By being in touch with our own suffering, peace and happiness, we may discover new ways to help ourselves and others.
All are welcome.
